When I think about Communist-run organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO) or the United Nations telling us Americans--a Free and Independent People (Right?), what to do about anything. I can't help but think about what the Father of Our Nation, George Washington, once said, which was "If we are to be told by a foreign Power what we shall do, and what we shall not do, we have Independence yet to seek, and have contended hitherto for very little."

If he and our other ancestors who were braving those blood soaked battles during the American Revolution in order to form a nation that would one day be taking its marching orders from a bunch of foreign, unelected, Communist Technocrats at the United Nations, they wouldn't have even bothered.

Here are some other things that the Father of Our Country had to say along those lines...

"My desire is to see us independent of all other countries, and under the influence of none."

"The way to be respected abroad and happy at home is to remain free from foreign political connections."

"Foreign influence upon our nation ought to be particularly alarming to the truly enlightened patriot."

"Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence (I conjure you to believe me, fellow-citizens) the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government."

"Every true friend to this country must see and feel that the policy of it is not to embroil ourselves with any nation whatever, but to avoid their disputes and their politics, and if they harass one another, to avail ourselves of the neutral conduct we have adopted."

"My ardent desire is, and my aim has been to comply strictly with all our engagements foreign and domestic; but to keep the United States free from political connections with every other country. To see that the People may be independent of all, and under the influence of none. In a word, I want an American character, that the powers of the world may be convinced we act for ourselves and not for others; this, in my judgment, is the only way to be respected abroad and happy at home."

"Precedents are dangerous things; let the reins of government then be braced and held with a steady hand, and every violation of the Constitution be reprehended: If defective let it be amended, but not suffered to be trampled upon whilst it has an existence."
